Re: Gloves with this gown
Why don't you photoshop some gloves on her? Then we can really tell. Even do it with the cap sleeves.

Re: Gloves with this gown
I personally am not a glove person, so I probably would say no gloves....BUT....I love those sleeves!!! I would leave them just the way they are! They're gorgeous!

Re: Gloves with this gown
I dont think gloves would never look silly! My sis has similar sleevs as your pic and she wore gloves and she was stunning. Gloves go with everything..its teh length of the gloves that you would want to be careful with. For example..my dress is halter and Im wearing opera style gloves..if you go spaghetti strap, that would be fine..if you keep the dress as is, gloves not so long would look better! P.S. thats a NICE dress

Re: Gloves with this gown
Nice photoshop work! I agree that the cap sleeves without gloves look the best. The only other option for gloves would be wrist length gloves.

I love the cap sleeves, I think they look beautiful on the dress....I also am not a fan of gloves, but that is my personal opinion and nothing more....
It's not that I think the gloves would look bad, I just don't like gloves....JMO.
The dress is beautiful though!!!!!!

Re: Gloves with this gown
OK.. jvs you are awesome.... I need to learn photoshop like that... I am still such an ameteur.I think if you go with elbow length gloves with the cap sleeves you should be ok, but be careful that the material for the gloves is not shinier than the dress... it will stand out very much next to the sheer sleeves. I like the cap sleevs, but I am partial to spagetti straps, b/c I lilke the way it frames a bridal veil, but that's just my taste. If you go for anything other than the cap sleeves, any kind of gloves would work.
With that style dress (if you decide to keep the cap sleeves), did you ever thin kof doing a sheer short glove, like a daytime glove (elizabethan type?) That matches the style of dress & can look really elegant....just a thought.

Re: Gloves with this gown
(Great job on the photoshop!!)OK, I still say cap sleeves without gloves. I think the dress is elegant on its own and think that the gloves will take away from the beautiful bodice. JMO though.

Re: Gloves with this gown
Definitely the original sleeves and definitely no gloves! Just my personal choice, it is a beautiful dress so I don't think you can go wrong!

Re: Gloves with this gown
JVS77, thank you so much for posting those pics! It was really sweet of you.
Now that I see the dress strapless, I dont really care for it. I think the cut of the neckline makes it look like it's missing something.
I really like the spaghetti straps. After reading everyone's opinions, I'm going to consider the cap sleeves. I wasn't too crazy over them when I tried on the sample, but then again the sample didn't fit me well.
The only reason I was thinking of wearing gloves is because my mom brought them up. She thinks gloves will make the dress look more elegant.
I'm going to try different glove lengths when my dress comes in and drive the saleswoman crazy! All I know is that I don't want anything to detract from the dress. The bodice is pretty elaborate and so is the hemline. My FI's grandmother drove me crazy when I went to try on the dress. She insists that my veil should have beadwork on it!!! She wanted a veil with Swarowski crystals lining it!
Thanks for all the input and suggestions! I'll keep it in mind!
