I am sorry but that is such crap. If I were you I would find a new hall. There are plenty of places out there that actually have a heart and would accomodate their customers. How heartless can you be that due to your health issues you can't book there. That's gotta be illegal.

Honestly I don't mind losing the $1000, but to lose almost $4000 is rough, considering it's not even my money, it's money my parents put down. My mother is LIVID, I haven't spoken to my Dad yet and I'm sure when I do, we will be going there to speak to a higher up.. This whole thing has left a very sour taste in my mouth with the swan club...

First, I am sorry that you are going through this. I would go in person and speak to the OWNER ASAP. I am pretty sure that they can work out something.

im SOOOOOOOO sorry that you have to go through this on top of everything else youve had to deal with in the past few months

kdrainey had posted about laws regarding catering halls a couple of weeks ago, and i found it, but its for suffolk county halls. Im going to try to do a search for the laws regarding Nassau county catering halls... maybe that will help us figure out what your rights/ their obligations are!!
