They did the same thing at my post office. I trusted them and so far Everyone received their invites.

I am sure everything was fine! I plan on going to a small post office with less traffic so I can have the opportunity to hand stamp them myself. I will mail one to myself too!

I did not hand cancel anything and they all arrived just fine. Really, don't obsess over this, I don't think most people really notice anyway.
