Hank Lane bands

Hi everyone! This is my first post and everything about wedding planning was going pretty smoothly (amazing I know) up until we started looking for bands. Now I am torn on the options and want to go with Hank Lane but am nervous not having seen them perform live (Pete Saunders Band). I know many of you have said the same. Also, I am fairly certain that I'm getting an outrageously high quote for an 8 person band in Manhattan on a Saturday so would appreciate any info you can provide on what your price was for a Hank Lane band.

I think David Tutera used the Hank Lane Band in his last 'My Fair Wedding' I think that would be the best recommendation you could get.

I'm using the Hank Lane band Rhythm Revue. It's a ten piece band. There are quite a few brides who are using or have used Hank Lane and I can't remember who, but there is a 2010 bride who is also using Pete Saunders.
The average price I was qouted for all the bands we looked at was around $1,000 a piece.

I am using Hank Lane Review Band, My family has used a few differnt hank lane bands and they have never disappointed

I am using a Hank Lane band - Artie Stuart and its about 1k per piece

Did you end up using Rhythm Revue Hank Lane band? I just met with them & it's so hard to decide without any recommendations....I'm finding it impossible to find reviews online. Hoping you can help!

we're using Pete Saunders on Nov. 14th. FMIL was also nervous about not hearing them in person but they are SO well known and widely used that I'm really not concerned. HTH!

I am using Hank Lane, Bobby Attiko. Everyone has raved about ALL HL Bands. FM if you want more info but by far the easiest and most accomodating vendor thus far (besides my RH of course) :) I cannot wait!

Does anyone know someone who has used them? I can't even find anything when I google them.

Also we were quoted 1250 per piece not including CH or ceremony = any thoughts on this?

I think you should never use a band you can't hear!! Our band is amazing and performs all over the city at bars when they aren't doing weddings. You can go listen to them all the time! We heard them 4 times before booking and trust me they are A LOT cheaper than Hank Lane.

I do not think that should be your decision maker. sometimes the people using them are not the posting review type. For example my hank lane band has VERY LITTLE LIW reviews--- yet he did P.Diddy's bday, Sarah Jessica Parkers, Bethanny Frankel.... so i am not worried that those people are not posting reviews. Hank lane has a great reputation and will not let you down. I have only heard amazing things from people who have used all different hank lane bands. I am sure you can request to meet with the band leader prior to the wedding (i am) and you can hear them in the studio on video (not live). FM if you have any questions.

We almost went with Hank Lane but ended up with Faze 4 band instead. Faze 4 also doesn't showcase, but they have such a great reputation it was okay with us. The quotes were pretty similar between the two companies. However, it was definitely a lot cheaper booking a band for a Sunday twilight than a Saturday night wedding. Like a difference of 4g.
