Help! Need a tailor/seamstress recommendation

I have decided to order my dress over the internet since the price is so much lower-but now what do I do about alterations if needed?? Does anyone have a recommendation for a tailor/seamstress? I have no idea where to go!

It always works out better to be generous in spirit rather than mean-spirited. Let's give each other the benefit of the doubt and become a community striving together for a better life. All of us would appreciate kindheartedness and it always comes back to us when we reach out to understand rather than jump to ugly conclusions.

Everyone have a good week and enjoy your holiday!

Laura,

I don't know where you're from, but I know of a woman that does alterations out of her house in Sayville. E-mail me if you want her number. I've had her alter a few things for me in the past, and her rates are reasonable and her work is excellent. If my dress is going to need any alterations, she's the one that I trust do them. Good Luck!

Sue

Hey Sue,

What is her name because I think you are talking about my grandmother (LOL)? and if you are I have to say on her behalf that she is the best! (yes I am a little partial lol). She has been sewing since she was 11 years old. All the dresses I own were made by her. I am so lucky to have her as my grandmother. You should see the house with all the pictures of the gowns she has made from scratch. Well anyway good luck to all those with weddings in the near future.

Maria,

Her name is Kathy, and she raises rabbits. Is this your grandmother?

Sue,

No, my grandmother is a little old Italian lady named Theresa and the only thing she raises is the wooden spoon to stir the sauce (LOL) . They both live in Sayville though. Small world we live in.
