Help!!! Summer wedding ...what colors should the bridesmaids wear

Okay I need a bit of Help....I have a question regarding color of bridesmaid dresses for a SUMMER wedding. I have always been told and assumed that summer weddings should be light bright colors. Am i right??? Okay here is the problem...my fiance is the BIGGEST Penn State Fan and all he wants is a semi- PSU wedding. Meaning...The big thing that he wants is the girls to wear Navy dresses. I wouldn't have problem with that at all but the wedding is in JUNE. Is it just me or can someone support me to tell him that Navy should NOT be worn in the summer! His reasoning is that you can brighten it up for the summer all with the flowers ....HELP ...haha he is impossible!!!

DO Navy! My FSIL is getting married in August...I am in the wedding and we are wearing Navy. I will post what dresses I am considering (she is letting us pick) YOU CAN PICK WHATEVER COLOR YOU WANT!

We are using Ariana Studios in Floral Park by the way...they have all three!

totally do Navy. There is no rule against also its kinda nautical anyway

You can do Navy color dresses with bright color flowers to compensate. Navy looks beautiful with bright pink roses.
Also Navy blue reminds me of the ocean. You could light blue flowers with it too. You have a LOT of options to go with.

You can absolutely do Navy!!! I hate to say it but he's right, brighten things up with light colored flowers or maybe get BM dresses that have a light colored sash.

I had a June wedding and went with Lilac but if your FH really wants Navy then go for it!!

Theres no right or wrong and no set of rules. You can do ANY COLOR at ANY TIME of the year. I did black [and silver] BM dresses because I had a b&w wedding. My friend is getting married this yr, and she is doing brown BM dresses.

I say go with whatever you think will look best.......................Its YOUR wedding!

I think yellow would be pretty. What kind of yellow is it - a pale yellow? and Pink is also nice - what kind of pink? a bright pink, hot pink, pale pink? Consider the dresses and ALSO think of the flowers............

You can definitely do navy, especially since it has sentimental meaning!

My friend got married Labor Day Weekend in Florida and we wore navy dresses.
