Hi---Another new mom. My daughter will be so happy that I have a place of my own to go to. I think I have been as addicted to reading these boards as she has.

Welcome. What fun that we are getting more mothers here. Is Kelly's wedding going to be on Long Island? I would love to hear more.

The dress came in very long, a different proportion, not the same silhouette, diff. shading, etc. The owner at Filly's couldn't have handled it better. I actually wanted to just take the sample and she insisted making a fresh one. She said if they have to redo it 5 times she would have them do it.
I will post the black one.
The things I am making are for my son's wedding. I am making menus, programs and addressing the placecards. I am probably doing the velum over the cardstock type of look, with a purple bow.

I loved it on you then and I love it on you now. It's beautiful.
I'm happy to hear that the owner was so conscientious about getting you the right fit. That's a reason why some businesses are successful and others are not.
I think it's great you are helping with your son's wedding so much. I hope you'll send me pictures of everything you make. I hope you have help tying ribbons. It's hard on the fingers.

Thanks for the welcome ladies. Kelly's reception is at the George Washington Manor. GroomMom, you look beautiful in that dress, I could never have my arms showing in a strapless gown, wish I could. I just started looking and haven't found anything yet. What a young looking MOG you are!!!!

Wow, what a beautiful dress. I just took my dress over to a tailor today. It needs to be shortened ( I'm only 5' tall) and the straps need to be fixed as well. Rachel's bridesmaids are wearing a dark periwinkle gown and my gown is a light periwinkle. My matching shoes have a low heal. Just can't wear those high ones. They hurt too much.
