Hey!!! Looks like you had SUCH an amazing time! I am getting a bit nervous now b/c FH and I are flying AA to St. Kitts for our HM... I hope they don't lose our luggage!!! We've learned to pack a few necessities in our carry-on bags b/c of the horror stories of airlines losing luggage.

a word of advice given to me by a wise st.lucian woman!...

When you pack for a big trip.. take 2 bags..

1st bag- 1/2 of your stuff 1/2 of dhs
and do the same for the 2nd bag.. that way if one gets lost your good no matter what.. and also pack a change of clothes, underware and a bathing suit in your carry on

Can i ask, why was wrong with the ride to and from the airport?

its about an hour and 10 min in a bus... on roads that are not straight..we never drove in a straight line its all hair pin turns.. if you get car sick or motion sick i HIGHLY recommend taking something... i dont get motion sick EVER and i was ready to yack i was about to ask the driver to pull over and then we were at the airport.. i was sick for almost an hour after.

oh no ... i think FH mom is getting us like a limo or a private car.. hopefully that will help.. but no flights are going to the small airport.. I hate AA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you have a private car its not so bad ( we missed the bus on the way to the resort due to lost bag.. and it wasnt as bad but i still got sick)
bring abottle of water and some dramamine just incase!

also those going to sandals st.lucia..

people get VERY VERY dressed for dinner i mean like heels gowns suits ties the works..DH and i were totally unaware of this an just brought sun dresses and sandals, kahkis and polos with sandals.

some resturants require closed toe shoes for the men and long pants..

i wish we would have known this before we went!

Like i said the only way around it is to take the helicopter ride which is $140 pp which gets you from the large airport to the small in 12 min. (the small airport is about 10 min from regency)

so in my opinion if we went back we would save the mney to take the helicopter both ways.

Nice pictures...looks like you had a great time! Sorry about your luggage. This is one of the reasons I am absolutely dreading the flights! I feel like that's all I have been hearing lately. American just cancelled our connecting flights to and from. It's not so bad coming home, but going there we are losing the whole first day now because they cancelled the later flight! After this, I will never fly with them either. Glad it worked out for you though.

So we just took the yucky van ride b/c there wasn't any other choice. So be prepared even if you prebooked for surprises! Ahh the islands :)

what great pics I stayed at the grande and I went to restaurants in every resort your pics looked awesome sorry to hear about the whole luggage problem I ironcially had that fear of not getting my luggage being that its happend to me so many times - i was going to bring extra clothes but dh said no i made a deal that I would buy everything new if that happened glad you got the luggage back the next day!!!! welcome back!!

for those that are going to st. lucia dont worry about the transportation to your resort although it's not the most cozy drive being that the roads are curvy and windy it is a tolerable drive and it goes by quick because there is a lot of sight seeing
