Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?

I have 3 tapered baguettes on each side of my ring and I love them! They get dirty very easily, but FH picked it out all by himself and I think that is what really matters! I wouldn't change my ring for anything.

I love my e-ring most of the time!! Of course sometimesI wish the center stone was a little bigger, but aside from that it is exactly what I wanted!

Thats what anniversaries are for!!!

I'm already picking pictures of a new one for future anniversarys!!

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?

you know i just LOVE LIW! you can ask an honest question and get real answers, not 'flamed' as they say on the knot. i've seen this same question there, and the poor girl was just bombarded with unnecessary and rude comments.

and IMO try and wait it out perhaps you'll love it more with itme. my ring grew on me and now i like it. i didn't get to pick it out, but it took me awhile to be OK with that. its a gift, and i treat it as such.

I love my E-Ring! It's not what I thought I wanted, I wanted the baguets, but I have a classic solitaire setting that will never go out of style, and that I will always wear.

I felt the same about my simple solitaire, but it does sparkle and I get loads of compliments on it. FH got me a sapphire and diamond enhancer and now I love it both with and without the extra stones

And now I can get a diamond wedding ring and it won't look like overkill!

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?

I love mine! It's a princess solitaire... There are times that I really want it with small, inset stones on the sides, which I might do eventually, but for now, I'm quite pleased!

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?

I love my ring!!!! My FH and I picked the setting out together and I let him choose a center stone - which he was VERY generous with!!! Whenever I see someone else's e-ring, I always compare it to mine, but I love it and feel I will never want to have my stone reset

I LOVE MY RING!!! I also love the fact that he had it designed to my tastes, he always listened very carefully to what I wanted
No complaints here!

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?

Unfortunately, it happens. My guy was working in a bank at the time that we got engaged and a woman at the bank worked at Zales and offered him private lessons after work at the bank on the 4Cs and how to pick diamonds, etc. Ofcouse this was on the sly and I didn't know. Anyway, then she sells him a piece of crap ring that eventually appraised for 1/3 what he paid for it. He's the greatest guy ever, but doesn't know anything about jewelery. I didn't have the heart to say anything. It looked nice, but it always bothered me that you could see flaws in it with the naked eye. Anyway, we really lucked out. After his Grandmother found out we got engaged she offered us her ring that's a beautiful platinum antique! We've been married almost 7 years and I love her ring and stare at it all the time. Not only is it gorgeous, but the history behind it is really special too. I thought it was more romantic to let him pick the ring and to be surprised than when girls pick out their own and know it's going to happen, but then you're stuck with the consequences. Sorry so long

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?

Baguettes are nice! I don't have any...but they are very pretty.

Mine is highly set in plat--a round brilliant solitaire. Looks great with my diamond wedding band.

He picked it out on his own; thank God he went plain and got a beautiful diamond! I think that if i didn't like it...it would make him sad to think I wanted a new one. He's really sentimental. Even when I talk about changing the setting in the future, he gets all, but baby! i asked you to marry me with that ring! :)

soak yr ring in joy or palmolive diswashing soap with real hot water. Then take a toothbrush & scrub the ring. Rinse.
That should bring back some shine

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?

I picked out something totally different for myself, and when my FH gave me the ring, it was 100 times more beautiful than what I picked out. It is a Tacori setting, but not Tacori. Diamonds all around the band and 2 side stones with a Princess cut diamond. He went off and did what he wanted, and I couldnt have asked for something more beautiful.

i get all kinds of cr@p on my ring at work, and i bought this stuff at rite-aid called connoiseurs jewelry cleaner. it is ammonia-based, and has a little dip tray and a brush inside. i soak my ring while i'm in the shower, give it a little scrub when i get out, and it sparkles! just another ring-cleaning thought...
