Hospitality Hour

I'm trying to figure out wording on the reception card for my invitations. My venue provides a hospitality hour which will be from 6pm-7pm and then cocktail hour from 7pm-8pm, followed by the reception. My invitation lady convinced me to just put 6pm for the cocktail hour start time but now I'm thinking that not everyone needs to be there for the hospitality hour. I think I want to change the cocktail hour start time to 7pm but somehow include that there will be a hospitality hour at 6pm for those who arrive early.

Any suggestions on how to word this??

Hospitality Hour - Long Island Weddings

I would just put the cocktail hour time. Most people show up early, and they will be directed into the hospitality room. It's a nice surprise, but it's not like cocktail hour where there is a ton of food. Just passed apps and drinks. Its more low key.

(My best friend got married at Sandcastle. It was amazing, you're gonna love it!)

That is my main concern. I don't want people showing up at 6 and thinking the hospitality hour is cocktail hour.

I'm glad to hear good things about the Sand Castle!!

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I might just add that Hospitality hours begins at 6pm for early arrivals, cocktail hour at 7 and reception to follow.....

Hospitality Hour - Long Island Weddings

I think Hospitality hour (or some variation of it) is so common now that most people show up a little early. Plus your invite time should always be a half hour early anyway, so anyone 'on time' can benefit and so can those who were a bit early and prepared.

Re: Hospitality Hour

I was just at a wedding there. The invite was a single page and they included that the hospitality hour began at a certain time.

Hospitality Hour - Long Island Weddings

I'm having my ceremony at a church so my invitation has the church information. The reception card has the cocktail hour/reception info. I didn't think this part would be so frustrating!
