i had heard Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban before I even started dating FH and said that will be my wedding song. He didn't have any suggestions for a song, so Keith Urban it is.

Well i told FH like maybe 2 weeks before we got engaged that I was upset that we didn't really have a song that was really special to both of us (i had no idea we were getting engaged so soon) but anyways...right before he proposed he told me that he found a song for us and played it for me, saying that it explained how he felt about me....we danced to it and then a few minutes later he proposed! so that's our our song became 'our song'...we are going to use it for our first dance even though it's in spanish and half my fam probably won't understand it hahaah

we are still deciding on our song. there's no meaning behind it we just both like it and it fits!

We havent picked a song yet... its either

Into the Mystic - Van Morrison or That's All - Rod Stewart...

Into the Mystic because of American Wedding... we love that movie, and that was their wedding song... we always dance to it at weddings... even when its played during dinner or some other time...

That's All is what Adam Sandler sings when Drew Barrymore dances with the fat kid at the Bar Mitzvah... I just really love that song... i always wanted it to be our wedding song... but FH isnt sure... he thinks it too slow

I think we're going with Michael Buble's 'Everything.' It's a sweet song and it's upbeat, so I think it's the one.

We have a song that means a lot to us...'Everything' by Lifehouse...FH had a trip to Europe planned months before we ever met and we were probably together for little over 6 months when we heard this song the night before he left..we didn't see each other for about 3 weeks because I was in florida when he came back!!! so he basically played the song over and over again on his ipod on the plane ride home :) LOL.....the only thing is that I think it may be a lil to slow for us to dance to :( which kind of sux.... but we do have many other special songs though

99% sure I am using Seal, 'Love's Divine'. When the song first came out, FH told me about it cause he really loved it. So hearing it on the radio always reminded me of him.Then I REALLY listened to the words of the song, and I think it really has alot of meaning to me because it is about someone who almost gave up on love, and is at the lowest point in their life, and then they do find love, and it saved them, saved their soul. I had a very abusive marriage when I was young, and I had a lot of bad luck dating over the years...and FH was in a miserable relationship for 11 years,and we cant believe that we were lucky enough to finally find eachother. We saved eachother. The song makes me tear up everytime I hear it...

It was super sweet and very romantic!!!
So as of now its Lover Lay Down BUT we recently discussed how we like YOU & ME on the new DMB album so we might change it.

everytime I had heard this song before (Kings of Leon 'Use Somebody'), it always made me think of him.

And then one day when we were in the car, it came on the radio and FH turned to me and said 'I don't know about you, but I think this is our wedding song' and then I told him I was thinking the exact same thing..

yes. when we first started dating each other. Maybe a month or so, he had a Sirius Radio. And we both hear the most beautiful song todether for the first time. And right then I thought to myself, if we ever get married this is gonna be our first dance song. I can't imagine I felt it!!!

Awesome choices! FH has seen about 175 DMB shows and has fire dancer tattooed on his leg. Although we both love DMB, we would never hear the end of it from everyone if we choose a DMB song!!!! LMAO :)

DH picked it actually. One day he just came home when we were trying to decide, and was like I found it. He played it for me & I started crying. I knew it was perfect. It is just so us so simple, so raw, just beautiful. It is a remake of sea of love by cat power, from the Juno soundtrack.

we have never really had a song... but about a year ago i got t he stuffed toy and sings 'Close to you' by the carpenters and everytime our dog(our child) would play with it, the song would sing close to you... and we just now will sing it to each other... the toy is nearly broken but every once and a while the toy will work again and a line from the song comes out and we sing the rest of it to each other...

when I had met DH he wasnt officially divorced, but was almost there. He had been through a terrible divorce & pretty much swore up until about a month before we got engaged(which was 5 years 2 mo) that he was NEVER getting married again. You can imagine my surprise when he actually did ask me to marry him & I had to ask...why? why did you change your mind? He told me that I had him at hello -& he was the one to actually pick out our wedding song b/c I had never heard it before. When I listened to the lyrics I cried & cried... it was truly like kenny Chesney had written the song 'You Had Me From Hello' specifically for us. I couldnt think of a more appropriate song for our 1st dance as husband & wife.

We both love dashboard confessional... first concert we ever went to together was when the album with Stolen came out. When we met I used to listen to it over and over and feel butterflies because he had literally stolen my heart.

When we got engaged we automatically agreed stolen was out song...we our couse found a slower acoustic version for our first dance
