We already have Hannah (from my previous marriage) and we'd like 1 more. I had 4 miscarriages after Hannah, so it may not be possible. On top of that, we have to do IVF.
I keep having dreams that we come back from a trip (maybe a honeymoon) and while I'm walking through the airport I'm calling everyone in my phonebook to tell them I'm pregnant!! LOL

Maybe 2 but I don't know. I'm kind of on the fence about whether or not to have kids, but I know FH really wants them, since this is the only chance his parents will have at seeing any grandchildren.

I think we would like 3 because we both come from 3. We aren't going to try until we are able to afford a place to live comfortably. If we weren't so tight with $$ we would start right after the wedding.

We're planning for 2.... at the very most 3. We're planning to wait a few years after the wedding to enjoy ourselves and enjoy married life before having kids. I'll be 26 when we get married so there is no rush...

Already have one.. he's not a baby anymore he just turned 9 (previous relationship) FI wants at least one more if not 2.. He would have loved to start trying already! LOL... we'll see how it goes.. pretty big age gap already, and I want my son to get used to the idea of us being married and having a 'DAD' around, before he has to get used to siblings!!

hmm, haven't thought about the # yet...at least a boy and a girl, but as long as they are healthy gender doesn't matter to me. we wont start trying until after i finsish my MA (2 yrs after our wedding) AND have a house AND have tenure (not sure if school counselors get this in NC where we will be, but i want to be secure in my job to take time off). i can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!! ~lacey

We are waiting at least a year- probably closer to 3- we need some time for ourselves b/c we've had big family responsabilities all our lives and are moving in with FMIL for about 6 mo - 1 yr.

We'd be happy with one happy and healthy child- we are looking to have 2- biologically. It's very important to me to adopt- we are both lucky and love kids- I want to share that love and give a child a home who doesn't have what we had. I believe if you have the money and room for kids they don't have to be biological ones! I like keeping siblings together and believe biological siblings are important (hence the 2 of my own) so I'd like to adopt 2. FH and I agree that we'd start looking into the process and plan- it can take a while and we want to have our kids first. Race doesn't matter and I wouldn't want infants so it might not be such a long process! I hope we are able to do it! Sorry for the long answer!! I wish happy healthy kids to all!

Last night, out of the blue FH said 'We should have a family.' This came as a total shock, since when we met he was very against having kids. I've never been 100% about having kids, but also know that at some point my clock might start to tick. Before we got engaged we talked about it and I said that I needed him to be willing to really think about having kids at some point, just not to be completely closed off to the idea. Well obviously he's warmed up to it quite a bit.
Long story short, one, maybe two. I'm a strong believer in zero population.

ETA: We won't be having any little ones for a while... 4 years min.

The zero pop growth is another reason FH and I like the adoption idea! Try telling that to my MOHs hubby who thinks his genes are so great they should have 10! He's nuts....and nothing special!!
