how many flip flops

I'm planning to have a flip flop basket at the reception. planning on 200 guests- figure half female, and not all will use them. so how many should I get? 50? 60? 75? (I really don't want a ton leftover)
And how do i decide how many of which sizes??

I know this is so stupid to obsess over but these details have consumed me!!!

I'd get about 50 and get a mix of sizes 7, 8, 9. More 8's???
But think about your family and friends...are they on the petite side? maybe get more smaller sized.
I'd also make sure to secure a few pairs for the bridesmaid since they probably won't make it to the basket before the other guests!

I love the idea of a flip flop basket. That is why I am so glad I have so much time before my wedding. Lots of time to plan the little details

I love them too! But I think I will need a lot of size 6 and 7's... my aunts and cousins have small feet. I will prob get about 70 pairs for 200 guest list

Do you think that is okay if the wedding is in March? It will prob be cold out...

They would be for when you were inside so I think it would be fine no matter what time a year it is.

thanks, that is what I figured... and it always gets hot when your dancing around (even in the winter)

i would do a majority of size 8 and 9 regardless ... the people with smaller feet can always wear larger sizes, but not vice versa.

as for the amount of flip flops, i did 72 for 115 guests (i was expecting to have more guests) and had about 30 left over. If i were you, i'd do at least 72. I think 50 is not enough.

oh, and as for it being cold, maybe you should do chinese slippers instead? that way, girls who are wearing stockings can use them also.

i did about 75 for 200 guests. i got more of size 8 and 9 (with a few size 10) since smaller feet can fit into larger flip flops but not vice versa

we put the basket by the dance floor (right by the DJ) ... the MC made an announcement so everyone knew about it.

as far as where to buy them ... you can try the dollar stores - they often have them in the stores (or you may be able to order from the internet)

We had about 15 pairs for 110 people....pics are in my album...we had them by the DJ.
