How many of you brides have a wedding planner ?

I really think a lot depends on where you are getting married, whether your ceremony is in the same place, whether you want to coordinate taking pictures in another location, etc.

I had 3 matre d/banquet managers attending to just my wedding, plus a bridal attendant (all from the Temple). I wanted a coordinator at first but on the day of the wedding, I would not have even wanted another person checking in with me.

The bridal attendant brought me a drink and I was like, 'I could have gotten it myself!' She was so nice but I didn't even want to be waited on that day!!!!

I thought of starting a DOC business, even though I didn't have one at my own wedding.

I'm my wedding planner. Its not bad if you just do things one step at a time.

I have two sisters pushing 50 years old and an overbearing Jewish mother. No need for a DOC or a coordinator. The temple provides a bridal attendant. I am way too anal and organized for this wedding. This is the 4th wedding in my immediate family. We got it down!

I'm doing the planning part - all the research, etc. I think I'm going to get a DOC so someone else besides me or my family can handle the last minute stuff and the day to make sure it goes smoothly.

i assume you're kidding but if you do need help with things and if i can help you, i will. but i'm not a DOC.

i just don't understand the purpose of one with having a bridal attendant, my family and friends.
