Got mine at the $99 David's bridal sale, $220 for alterations, shoes $50, slip $50, bra $80, veil $125. About $600 in total. I got rave reviews on the dress. everybody was complimenting it.

I'm really hoping to stay under 2,000..it's a gift from my parents but i don't want to go overboard. does anyone know how much jim hjelm and enzoani dresses are going for? Also, how do you find out about these trunk shows? Do they only have limited sizes at these events? sorry..I'm just lost with this stuff!
my dress is a jim hjelm 8860 and it was $3300 at Kleinfeldsm but they gaveme 10% off.

I dont even want to say what I spent bc it was a lot and I still can't believe I did lol...What I will say is this...if you have an amount you MUST stick to...DO NOT try on dresses outside your price bc once you try it on you will want it. Have fun looking

I'm under a thousand. I still need a veil and tiara and I have no idea what alterations are going to run me! My how it quickly adds up!

mine is a maggie sottero from Helen's bridal in commack...$1499 (covered in swarski beads so that ups the price) but i love it!!! It's the Vouge Style!

My Mom gave me a budget of $5000 but I found the dress that I love for $750 plus probably ~$250 for alterations and such.

$1600 for Mine - I had aimed for $1500 to $2000.You can find anything you want from $800 to $8000 - you just have to set a frame of mind that this is what I want to spend and stay within reason. As much as I love the 'dress' I keep in mind its a one time dress for a few hours and I dont wanna go over the limit

Mine is a Gail Garrison, and I got it from Bridal Couture of Manhassett. It came up to $3800 after they took 10% off. It's a lot of mine but I love it and I couldn't be more happy.[/QUOTE

My dress is Melissa Sweet. Got it at POB during an event for 10% off came to 3500 but I got a brooch to go with it so that brought it to 3600 without alterations. I also got a pair of Miu Miu shoes for 960 so that brings me to 4560. I haven't bought my veil but it will porbably bring me to a total budget of $5000

$795 for Allure style 8526 from Paradise Bridals in Patchougue. Haven't done my fitting yet but alterations are at a max of $225.

awww man....don't tell me I spent the most out of everyone that replied...makes me feel like I should have shopped around more to see if i could find a better price...I bought mine at bridal reflections in carle place for 5995 for dress+500 to add 12' more to the train (sp?) +150 for straps which have beading to match the dress +tax = $7227
...and that doesnt include the alterations
I did really love the dress (Its amelia carrera style A7, but honestly it looks a lot better in person) though, and I thought (not being conceited or anything) that the dress look amazing on me.
I actually contemplated buying the priscilla of boston dress style PL104 which was also gorgeous and I thought that nothing would be or look better...but to my surprise the other dress suited me more. That dress would have come out to like $8,250 without alterations.

I always thought watch im going to fall in love with like the most expensive dress but I just ordered my dress its a mori lee and it cost me $750, my alterations are capped at $400 so I think thats alright considering what it could of been

I feel your pain, I too fell in love with Amalia Carrara, I ordered the A1. To me, it's worth every penny.
