I'm still not sure about this, but I would like to take the entire week off before the wedding and then the week after. I still have to see though.

Re: How much time are you ladies take off from work before the wedding, plus I need a little advice?

I'm getting married on a Sunday. I'm working until the Thursday before my wedding because I'm hoping to take off the two weeks AFTER my wedding. I don't think it's right for him to tell you at the last minute you're not getting paid but I guess without a contract, you really can't fight it too much. Have you tried talking to him about paying you at least for the first week?

Re: How much time are you ladies take off from work before the wedding, plus I need a little advice?

I'm only taking 1.5 days before. Then a week for the HM and an extra day to recoup. So that's 7.5 total business days.

Re: How much time are you ladies take off from work before the wedding, plus I need a little advice?

Yup same here, I'm taking two weeks for the honeymoon, can't afford to take off another week. I work part time currently too (going to school too) so Im going to have to try to work around my already crazy schedule! I'll probably take the Friday (day before) as a half day or day off. Haven't checked with the bosses yet!

Re: How much time are you ladies take off from work before the wedding, plus I need a little advice?

I am prob taking 2 days off prior to the wedding and then 2wks for the honeymoon

As for your situation, generally you acrue one day off for each month of employment.

Definitely discuss it with your boss.
