How to deal with non-RSVP folks
Okay - we're now 5 days past the RSVP due date and I've got about 16 people who I have not heard from.
I know it should seem really simple to just pick up the phone and call, but I'm nervous about making them feel bad if they want to say no....I can't just let it ride b/c we have some friends we'd like to invite if there is room so I need to know!!
Does anyone have any experience in this area? How'd you handle it?

Just to clarify - this equals to almost 20% of our final guest list - 2 full tables!
Ann Marie, My wedding is at Sandcastle too!! When is your wedding. If you get married first, I'd love to hear your input on things I should or should not do. My wedding is on June 4 2000 so if I'm first I'll give you the same info.
Thanks.
How to deal with non-RSVP folks
There were a few people who didn't send RSVP's to us in a timely manner. We waited 1 week and then called. But we had my mom call her friedns/relatives and his parents call theirs, etc. That made it a little easier. It really wasn't so bad.

How to deal with non-RSVP folks
I have just finished going through the same thing..the best way to handle it is to call them, and encourage then to send in their RSVP, do not ask them weather or not they are coming just ask them to mail in their response, this way they do not feel pressure, and say that they are coming when they know that they are really not. It has worked very well for me so far!!
