Unfortunately, MANY brides are having FMIL or FIL issues - don't talk to her about the wedding if you can help you. You don't need people making foolish comments like any that you've posted.

I would say something to FH. It isn't right. It seems that she is bullying you when he isn't around!?!? How horrible! I would definetely say something Eleanor!!!

This is exactly why some people believe in the rule of 'no pay, no say'. It's for situations like this.

I can't believe that she would suggest such crazy things.

Just leave her out of the loop as much as you can. When she asks how things are going, just say they are getting done. I realize people might say it's mean to do this, but it looks like you might have to just to keep your sanity!!

And if it were me, I would tell FH. He should be dealing with her, not you.

There isn't anything I can say, except her suggestions to keep down costs are totally insane, and so is she for suggesting them!!

OMG!! What a wacko!!!!

I'd be saying, 'um, your own son worked very hard to find this diamond ring and you're saying to SELL it?' Oh, and then if I were in a foul mood, I'd tell her all the naughty stuff I do with her son (I mean, if I were you).

She's weird and out of line. Tell her that your dad will pay for EVERYTHING after he gets a big fat check from her.

Wow I can't believe the thinks she is saying to you. You should really tell you FH to sit down and have a little talk with her, nothing crazy but just ask for her support.
