omg - I feel the same way! I went to a friend's wedding at The Rainbow Room on Sat night and it totally wasn't what I expected - the food sucked, there was no personalization (normal guest book, no favors, plain placecards) - there was nothing special about it, and it just made me feel so much better about my own wedding! sorry, but it's true

I know- I feel bad saying these things- but I guess I just expected too much- but from what she told me I figured it woul dbe out of this world!

the amount of food served at a wedding is enormously different in places other than NY. I live in MD and have gone to nice DC weddings and nice MD weddings in fabulous spaces. While the food is excellent, there is just not anywhere close to the amount served at a typical wedding I go to in the NY area...
