I just read your update. Normally, if they don't give a crap- they don't say anything. He probably was surprised and would have given you a higher offer as opposed to the new job. Did they offer you anything? If they did, could you stay? I mean, if you were unhappy at the old job, don't sweat it and just move on.

yes some bosses are like that. it's hard to not let it get to you but you got to realize that it is your life and you gotta do whats best for you.

FH used to work there, he liked it alot but he was at the Centereach branch. Good luck and screw your boss with the guilt trip he's took late to try to make anything better

i think that with you being there for 3 years they were kinda hurt, but i wouldn't feel guilty, you need to do what you need to do...dont let ppl stand in your way, and if this new job is gonna bring you more money and more options in life than gooo for it....

awwww thanksss... and really thanks for your help...you really helped me stay positive :)... thanks for the g2g toast.....its almost here anddd the night of the g2g will be my last day at work wooo hoooooo


Yay even more to celebrate! I def think all bosses do this stuff. When I left my last job my boss did this to me and was like 'you're doing this to me right before I go on vacation?' Umm yeah, I really could care less about ur vacation. But yeah, they def do this alot. Don't sweat it, ur def making the right decision. What's meant to be will be. You will be so much happier.

If it was a lot higher than what you were making at your previous job- he probably said F it to save himself the money. You did a good thing leaving I think- you will be better off and much happier. Good luck with the new job!
