I got ripped off!!!
Just thought I'd share...
The article from the Better Business Bureau I referred to on an earlier posting suggested looking at the garment tag of your wedding gown to ensure you're paying the right price for the right material...for example, why pay the price of silk when you're getting rayon??? Well, ladies and gents, that's exactly what happend to me. I had bought my dress before I read the article. And, this weekend when I was finally showing my mother my dress, I read the tag. It was 100% polyester material!!! Considering that KMart sells 100% polyester dresses for $20 really burns my buttons when I think of how much I spent on that gown. (This is not a slam against KMart...just the ridiculous inflation in the wedding market.)
I got ripped off!!!
Girl, I can't believe it! I never thought about that! If I buy a gown (I may have it made) then I am definitely going to look at the label before I purchase! Thanks so much for the tip!!!
Also Glory, I agree with your mother: no matter the fabric b/c what matters is that you LOVE the dress! That is the hardest part and if you have that mastered, the other stuff becomes unimportant!!
