I had my shower yesterday!

And was pleasantly surprised - how wonderful! I have an ? regarding folks who sent gifts but did not attend - do i need to mail them a favor or is a thank you card enough?

I've been getting conflicting comments....

I wish you all the best (its not easy, i know). Let me know how you make out. :)

I think a Thank You card is sufficient......Congrats on the shower---wasn't it great!!! Where did they have it?

I had my shower yesterday!

I live in Flushing - it was at the Marriot by LaGuardia Airport. I was so touched by all the effort everyone made on my part - it was so sweet.

Now that all the rough planning stuff is behind me, I'm starting to have fun!! : )

I wish you all the best (its not easy, i know). Let me know how you make out. :)

I think a favor is a little gift for people who attend a party. If someone can't make it, a thank-you card is sufficient.

Karen,

A thank you card is sufficient. If you had some favors left over and you will be seeing some of the guests who couldn't attend in person you can give them one of the extras if you like, but it is certainly fine to write a thank you without giving a favor.

Glad you had a great time!

if you have x-tra favors than mail it out. i would be a nice offering along with the thank you card. besides, what are you going to do with the x-tras?

The only thing I have done so far is secure the ceremony site and the Milleridge. I was getting overwhelmed by everything and decided to focus on my dress first. So, I haven't done much of anything. I'd like to see the place set up before a wedding to get an idea of what it looks like. I'd like to see the centerpiece upgrades too. Have you signed the contract yet? I am a bit nervous about that. Any thougts on that? What else have you done??

Lisa

hang them in my closet! my nightgowns look great on them!

actually, at the end of the day, we only had 4 favors left over (we sent a few home with family members to give to those who could not attend). so I gave the extras to my family members who planned the day!
