Sore Throat - squeeze lemons and drink the juice. Its horrible and I can't bring myself to do it unless I have something extra super important. But it helps cure the throat, especially if you are losing your voice. I swear it works. Its how I got over sickness before my shows in High School and college. I ALWAYS got sick before them.

Also my mom says to gargle with hydrogen peroxide. It kills the germs in your throat and keeps them from moving further into your system. It is a horrible thing to do, but I do think it shortens the time I am sick. I am doing it today. Just don't swallow it.

I am petrified to gargle with peroxide...I heard about that too, but my luck I'll accidentally swallow it and end up killing myself before the wedding

When I gargled with the warm vinegar solution, and sorry if this is TMI, but I felt it bubbling similar to when you put peroxide on a wound when it's killing an infection, so I think that definitely helped...I'm going to do one more time with that, I did it on Thanksgiving and it got rid of the sore throat, and yesterday it was ok, but today I felt it creep back when I woke up today so I definitely am going to try it again this afternoon.

I gargle with salt water and that always helps
