Re: I need major hugs...
You have said that the cats are keen on each other.... is it possible that your cat will stop once the other cat is gone? Maybe you can talk to your landlord and extend the time limit? Many
to you!

Are the cats fixed? I've never had boy cats but I was under the impression that that would stop if they were???

That's what I thought too. The cat I moved in with is a female and fixed. We've had no problems with the landlord about her. The second one is a male and fixed, and he has been fighting with our other cat since day 1, so we just try to keep them seperated as much as possible, but their fighting late at night wakes us up.
Andrew tried talking to the landlord to no avail. And Jamie, your apt. complex is one of the places we were looking at last night to move to. I still have to discuss this with him tonight.

Life tends to get very Very stressful at times, althoughA LOT of things are going on right now you have to remember to take care of yourself, your going to make yourself very sick, try drinking some Kava tea (I think thats what it's called), it's used for stress relief, and it really calms the body down (just make sure your not allergic to any of the ingredients) I bought it at the health nuts in bayside and it did help.
As for the cats, things will work out in the end, sometimes certain events happen for reasons unknown. Just remember to try and relax and take deep breaths.

Janna - I would go to another doctor - too many doctors blow off real issues claiming a woman is 'stressed' - take it easy, but if you arent feeling better, go somewhere else - but I know you are also having health ins. issues, so
good luck!

I'm sory you're going through so much!
that it all gets better! About your cat, if he is neutered then it definitely was not spray, it was plain and simple urine. Which could mean a couple of tings. He could be sick or he could be acting out due to stress. Maybe he's being neglected or something is bothering him. Whatever it is, it is not normal for animals to start peeing after being trained otherwise. He knows better and is doing this for attention or to release anger. I would look into it.
Good luck!

I'm sorry your in this predicament. But one thing you should do is get your cat spayed or neutered so you won't have to move AT ALL. Otherwise everything else will work out. I think once your landlord knows you did this, the problem will be solved, it's not expensive, and for the sake of keeping your cats just do it, they deserve it !!

I think her cats are neutered...hence my post above. But I agree...this is crucial.

Re: I need major hugs...
He's probably acting out. We had to keep him locked in the bedroom because he constantly fights with the other cat at all hours of the night and it was keeping us awake. He did it again sometime last night, so I was sitting there at 6am this morning mopping the floors and spraying Febreze so that the smell wouldn't go through the house again. Thank God it worked. But maybe we should take him to the vet tonight to be sure it's not a health problem. FH thinks it was because there wasn't enough litter in the box. I don't know.
