Well, first I need to say thanks to everyone who helped me over the last month to find out all the 'inside deals' and give me advice on the various venues.

FI and I went to Floral Terrace on Saturday night with his mom, and my parents. We had a tasting and the food was great. There were some things I'd like to change but overall the service was excellent and we were happy with the choices. It really brought to life how much delicious food there was on that menu! Don't book unless you've eaten at your venue. Things we thought we wouldn't want, we went gaga over! FMIL was very shy and I really thought she hated the place but she says she likes it! So OK!!! (there is more to this story)

I think that they need to improve the bathrooms at FT...that's it. We all enjoyed the food, loved the history of the place, and the decor is really gorgeous. For us, the 'holding room' as I call it (the downstairs room) is great for our fam pix right after the church. We got a great rate - under 100 for a Sat. nite and we are having surf and turf!

SO.....WE BOOKED!!!!!! We are getting married March 25, 2006 - 3 pm church and 6:30 cocktail hour at Floral Terrace! I took pix of us signing that scary contract! I also took video of the place so I can check it out later!

Congratulations. I pass by Floral Terrace all the time and regret not even looking at it since it's looks so nice from the outside. But, I really wanted something on the water so I probably wouldn't have gone with it after all.

My cousin got married there a while back and it was lovely. Just be careful if you plan on throwing your bouquet. Her's got stuck in the ceiling! hehehe

This is the most viewed post I have ever had!!! *Yeah, I know it's only been a month!*

Well, I have to admit that everytime I logged on and saw MORE girls getting engaged...I got soooo nervous.

I am in such the holiday spirit now.

SFP0214 - i can't wait to show you the video.

Thanks to everyone who said we were cute... at least I am...Frank is a grumpy policeman who told me last week 'I've been sooo good. I haven't complained about wedding planning ONCE.' Like that is something to brag about - you should be happy to plan this with me.

Good news...he is planning the engagement party for Feb. 5th! I am so excited!!! He is doing a great job!

WOW!

Well, it took us a month and one of my friends thinks i am crazy but i am just happier knowing where it is going to be. plus, we got a great deal and love our place.

another thing is that there was a possiblity of having it in jersey. i wanted to square away which state it would be in and since i won, i'm again happy and not in turmoil like i was!
