I am sorry you feel hurt. But You know how people are so last minute so don't worry about the RSVPs just yet. Even though the date has passed, I'm sure you will get more in soon. I probably wouldn't have been insulted by the $100. In my family that is a lot and would be grateful that I got something. Hang in there!!!

Can you start calling people who haven't responded yet?

If you think $100 is bad -- it's 10 times better than the shower gift I got from my cousin's wife -- a blanket for the park that cost $9.99! (I know the cost because I already have one.) This is from a person whose wedding shower, baby shower, wedding, bachelorette party, baby's christening, communion and birthdays 1-8 I attended and gave gifts to.

i'm sure it feels like everything is going wrong around you but please just take some time off from the whole wedding planning thing and do something nice for you. Pretty soon, you will be a Mrs. and will actually miss planning such a wonderful union. So, follow me, deep breath in, run to your FH, plant a big kiss on his lips and say 'I need you to take my mind off of things....' and see what he comes up with

Ok, that is SO wrong! WOW... they do have these great things now and they're called kennels. GEEZ! She's going to miss your wedding because of dogs, very nice!

Thanks for all of the support ladies. I appreciate all of it, fh is going to call his dad today to start calling all of the folks that haven't replied yet, and we'll call the remainder,
I calculated with the folks who are left, and if the remainder of ffil's list replies yes, we can actually make our minimum...thats a big if...
but going to keep my fingers crossed.

i agree with the others... i think $100 is an excellent shower gift... especially from somebody who didn't come to the shower- they really didn't HAVE to send you anything.
with the possibility of getting laid off, you of all people should realize that there are more important things in life than the amount somebody gives you for a gift... be grateful for whatever you are given.

I say send out the other invitations. Maybe you can just order new RSVP cards (these online places can send you new cards in like 2 days). Or do it on plain white cardstock.

I think the $100 was a nice shower gift.

Sorry about the lay off possibly! Try to not stress.
I do have to say I think the comment on the $100 gift was harsh though. one of My BM's and now sister in law is a millionaire, they won the lottery 3 years ago. HEr shower gift to me did not add up to $100. And I think I got MAYBE 3 gifts that were over that amount. So I cant agree or understand your frustration there.
