Re: Is anyone getting a second outfit/dress

I'm getting a second outfit because we're leaving for our honeymoon the next day at 9am and I don't want to worry about someone picking it up the hour before I have to leave.

I am still trying to get over the fact that your second! dress is a Monique.....what is your first again!!

I was thinking the same thing. That dress is GORGEOUS - one of the favorites I have seen!

My first is a Reem Acra.... I got the Monique at a trunk show......(it was a sample that fit me very good so I got it at a fraction of the price...) got it from Kleinfelds, when they were closing the store........

Re: Is anyone getting a second outfit/dress

I plan on getting another dress for the 'after party'. I'll probably just get something plain like Nicole Miller or J Crew. I just don't want anything to happen to my other dress.

Re: Is anyone getting a second outfit/dress

i wish i could pull a 'trista' and change into a 2nd dress. but i really love my dress and i can move in it, so that is not a problem. no offense to other brides, but i've never heard of this custom

Re: Is anyone getting a second outfit/dress

I'm considering this one for the after-party - simple but cute. FH's family offered to host an after-party at their house - and I don't want to chance it that I could get tossed in the pool (FH!) or get beer on my dress!

Re: Is anyone getting a second outfit/dress

We're not having an after party, as the reception doesn't end until midnight. I'm not having two different dresses for any purpose.

love that....funny thing, despite the fact that many girls are saying no to a second outfit, for the after-party, I think I may go for it...

I figure I'll be in my gown from about 2pm til midnight....I think that's pretty darn good!

Re: Is anyone getting a second outfit/dress

Did not pick out a wedding dress yet, but intend on having a second dress. As much as we be dancing and partying, I may change halfway through the reception. Also, since we are having an afternoon reception, we intend on having an after party somewhere. I will definitely want to change for that.

Re: Is anyone getting a second outfit/dress

A friend of mine found a simple white silk dress at Marshall's that she changed into for the after party.

I think it depends on your dress and how comfortable you feel wearing it out to a bar (if that's where the after party will be).

I was thinking of putting on a t-shirt that says bride in those little crystals (like for the bachelorette party).

Re: Is anyone getting a second outfit/dress

I think I may. I am really not a dress kinda gal.

Plus, because I am having the wedding at my sisters house - my party can go on as late as I want it to! Once all the snoozers go home me and my friends will be having a fab after party. I think I will change then...

Suzbride - great choice. and for anyone else considering this... Blue Fly has some great white informal dresses.
