I am doing a theme. Kind of a 'Cuba in 1940' theme. Palm trees, dark wood, bamboo, and Mojitos.

I would love to know other traditions you are incorporating!!

I'm going to be 'Mrs. Theme'

The FT used to be a movie theatre - built in 1927. So the official title of my theme is

'Old Hollywood'

My STD's were movie posters, I'm having 'take your seat' chair placecards, tables will be named after movies from the 40's, having a sinatra singer, girls' dresses will be 40's-esque, colors are all 'jewel tones' like the 40's, invites look like oscar envelopes, etc.

Gotta get crackin' on the 'paper' items so they match and also the favors.

I'm doing precious moments for invites, cake topper, flute glasses, guest book etc. but my color for BM dresses is rust, my flowers will have all the fall colors in them.

DOING A FALL THEME. ANYTHING RED, CREAM, BROWN, LEAFY, PUMPKINS. EX. INSTEAD OF EACH TABLE HAVING #'S,THEY WILL HAVE NAMES OF DIFFERENT TREES.. ITS AN IDEA NOT SET IN STONE.

mild cinderella - cake topper, ring pillow, maybe the unity candle, toasting flutes, and I might pull a little bit into the centerpieces. Oh and our video will have a few scenes from Cinderella put into it also.

Other than that, the 'color theme' is pink/green - a little difficult to mix the two since Cinderella stuff is mainly shades of blue, but hey, it can be done!

the girls dresses are a wine color.

You know what, why not do a wine theme. Instead of hard liquor, offer differnt kinds of wine. Put grapes on your cake. Have grape cp's. things like.

I'm doing a mild candy theme

favors will be metal mini buckets willed with taffy...table names will be candies and whatever table you are at will have that candy in crystal bowls on the table. Also might silver candy placecard holders that i found on the wedding channel's site.
