I am planning to invite my boss but not his adminstrative assistant. There is only 3 people in my office. I feel a little bad about not inviting her but we don't get alone that well.

If you have room on your list, I would. If you don't have room on the list, I'd make room

If I were in your situation, I would def invite him....he sounds like he's already expecting you too and it sounds like you guys have a decent relationship......I am personally not inviting my boss, but I work in a different atmosphere with numerous bosses and a lot of employees - so I'm only inviting two of my coworkers...

it depends if you like your boss! I invited all of my bosses to my wedding all 4 of them and they had a blast! and we still talk about it when i see them.

from what I read its a must to invite your boss, but its still up to you IMO

Although I like my boss very much I don't think I'll be inviting her. We have a very proffesional relationship so I think I would feel weird with her seeing me out of my office. I am invited 2 coworkers both of which I socialize with and they know my fiancee too.

Inviting the boss sounds like the propper thing to do but I think in my case it would be weird.
