Sorry to hear about your cat. My parents had a brother and sister pair and the brother died in April. Since then the sister has been different. She's does not appear to be as happy as she was.

I know that my dog was depressed when the other one dies, so we went out and got another, and he cheered up.

Your cats' behavior is totally normal....our dog was very depressed when my dad had to put my cat down (yes..they were best friends, kissed each other and everything)....it should taper off as time goes by..just give him a lot of love!!
