JERICHOTERRACE OWNS PEDESTALS!!!

this is just what i've heard. i know they are across the street from jericho terrace, but i heard one of the owners of the florist is married to the owner of jericho terrace. rose to joe or john. how interesting. i wonder how the other catering places feel about a florist owned by their competitor jericho terrace.

I am having my final meeting w/the banquet manager tomorrow evening. I will ask - if I get any answers, I'll be sure to let you know .

I do believe your proposal is very reasonable and I'm curious to know which other hall was "enlightened" enough to see it your way.

JERICHOTERRACE OWNS PEDESTALS!!!

i heard that too but never made much about it. oh. so i believe fox hollow and chteau and westbury manor recommend them does that mean that they are all scotto places ? why then would scotto recommend a flower place that jericho owns. no wonder they tried to get me to come over to jericho terrace.i guess they wanted my wedding there too . but i was buying flowers. now i know why they told me to go across the street to see john. he was selling me his place. this is too much for me.

I do think that you are misinterpreting his message. There are a few of us on this board, myself included, who happen to agree with the views he has expressed.

It is perfectly acceptable for you to disagree with him, me or anyone else on this board. But calling people names and being down right disrespectful is not very productive and is quite rude.

JERICHOTERRACE OWNS PEDESTALS!!!

MY WEDDING IS AT THE JERICHO TERRACE, AND WHEN I BOOKED THEY SAID THAT ONE OF THE OWNERS WIFE EITHER WORKED AT OR OWNED THE FLORIST ACROSS THE STREET - THEY RECOMMEND PEDISTALS AND FLOWERS BY BRIAN. I AM NOT USING EITHER, BUT FELT A LITTLE GUILTY. I SAID THAT A FAMILY FRIEND OWNS A FLORIST IN SUFFOLK COUNTY.

Your resonse to the photographers and DJ's eating sounds quite horrible. I for one have a fmaily of blue collar workers and love when people are nice to them and treat them as if they are people instead of servants.

My fiance and I are paying for the wedding ourselves and have saved every penny we could for 2 years. I am not saying to pay for things flippantly. We are in the process of paying everyone their final payments this week and it is a little stressful. However, all of this is not the vendors faults. How could you have anyone (working or not working) in front of you during your wedding and not offer them a meal.

JERICHOTERRACE OWNS PEDESTALS!!!

wow thats terrible. i really like this site. doesn't fox hollow recommend pedestals? well then how can they recommend a florist that jericho terrace owns? will my personal information be violated. how do i know where my personal data will go? i don't want it to go into all of these hands like a marketing company does. with some of these marketing firms your name keeps going round and round and round until they sell you again and again. if i booked at fox hollow what guarantee do i have that pedestals will not tell jericho who will tell other people they deal with. uhm that stinks. i guess since jericho terrace owns them what else can you expect!

Hi! I'm looking for dirt on Brentwood Country Club. Is it awesome or cheesy? Good for an outdoor reception? Any stories? Thanks! Timerie

Re:does fox hollow know?

i went to a vendor showcase by the scotto bros. it happened to me. i went to pedestil flowers and then i was called by jericho terrace a few days later to visit with them. they said they heard i was getting married. is their an association between jericho terrace and fox hollow, or chatea briant ?

This might help.

Let me lead off with an anti-flame disclaimer: I'm not a Scotto Bros. employee, nor have I ever been. I do not and have not worked in the catering field. I post this info here to try and answer a question that has been raised, so no accusations, please. I've read other topics here, and it's unbecoming behavior for a few (very few) of you. Perhaps posting a disclaimer first is the only way a person can avoid getting attacked afterward. I understand planning a wedding is stressful, but there's never an excuse for being rude.

LOL cute last line Rick. Don't worry not attacks from me :)~~ I just wanted to add about the vendor listings. As soon as I ordered The LI Wedding Pages--I had thousands of vendors calling my house. It was getting so bad that I started telling them the wedding was off. All times of the day and night--yikes! I learned my lesson with putting my phone # down on things :)

rick nice of you to answer on this site. but what are you trying to say? i think all of us girls know enough to shop around. but thanks anyway. we have also agreed not to single out one of us by calling names or stating one or three of us is rude. thats where one loses respect. we have agreed that any/all information whether good or bad, whether positive or negative is still good information. we have also agreed to give opinions without insulting someone else's opinion. so to the other girls defense we accept your statement of "i'm sorry", but it would have served us better not to register those remarks. we donot take any standing shoots at each other any longer. o.k. so for everyone lets have some fun lets talk honeymoon and lingere but nomore personal negative comments.

I have been coming here since I was told the Web site began to exist. Enough said...and I have been through the most miserable time with the planning of my own wedding. I went through the months of researching catering halls. Picked one that would handle a small affair. Thought I was happy with them, booked a photographer, who I still adore, although I wont get to use him. Got a DJ and a florist. The whole nine yards.

I had to cancel my plans and was very upset. I came here to tell everyone and you all were great. Until I had real problems and actually came to the boards to tell others the names of the establishments that were un professional. Now I am far from a dumby, and have been through a wedding and a marrage in my past, so I have done all this already. When my caterer tryed to keep 3x the legal amount that they were entitled to keep I was basically told that I was the one who was wrong! I know the laws, I read the contracts, yet I was Bashed! Same thing with the florist, who I never got more then an estimate from, nobody signed anything, yet now she wants money from me when nothing was ever in writing other then exactly just that....an estimate!

patty's response

I guess it doesn't matter what precautions you take, someone's still going to get the wrong impression and slam you to some degree. Here I thought I was being cautious and polite (and sure, I wagged my finger a bit, but it has been a little nuts here), and I'm taken to task by patty for taking those precautions.
