Have you sent the letter yet? I ask because Jan or Feb may be 6 montghs or less from your original date (I'm not sure when it was) and I think you should send that cancel letter NOW. That way there are no excuses...you cancelled with more than 6 months, period.

They've had the cancel letter since October....which is one yr from when the wedding was supposed to be!

After recieving a letter from my 'lawyer' (thanks Beth) and me filing a complaint with consumer affairs....I recieved a big fat check!

Thanks again everyone....

Brides....dont let anyone try and scam you...let them know, you know the 'law'

That I just recently cancelled my reception at EAST WINDS ESTATE FOR 10/27/06-My story and my reasoning why can be found in 06' brides forum...

ETA: I take back every good thing I ever said about this place...The facility in itself is gorgeous...but IMO the people are pretty sad....Trying to scam a man who is over seas fighting for his county.... PATHETIC!!!!

Contact consumer affairs....do homework on your halls before you book...the info is free...and I just wish I wouldve done the same!!!!!!!
