omg i can go on about stories like this! this year im teaching second grade so its a bit for innocent (one kids swore to me that he went to china over the weekend and learned karate..i was like um ok sure lol) but the last 2 years i taught 5th grade...i had one kid tell another kid that he had crabs....ok so thinking that i didnt even know what that was till i was like a senior in high school, i was like 'how can u say that, especially when u dont even know what that is' WRONGGGGG thing to say! the kids whipped out a definition for me
another kid had a paper in her desk i look at it and its a note saying who she wants to suck soandsos big di ck...umm i can go on about storied like this...but last year a third grade class beat anything that ive seen or heard...a teacher is telling us how she was noticing that a bunch of kids were giving this one boy all of their snacks so shes wondering whats going on...she later finds out from one of her kids that apparently during lunch that the boy is a pimp..and girls were actually going underneath the table and jerking him off...imagine that! yeah its sick and crazy what goes on...and its all bc of what they see at home bc how else would 8yr olds know about this stuff?!?!!?
omg i totally missed this
O M G
now i understand homeschooling!

omg that is so sad/hysterical!!!
i just dont get why you would assume the mother knows the word? i mean, why would she let him say it thenmy mom definitely didn't learn the curse words until we got older - even though she learned english soon after getting here. . . there are still some bad words that i have to explain to her

haha i know what you are saying - but i can just tell that this mother is full of it. a lot of them play the 'i dont understand' card when its convient and she is one of them. my friend taught this kid last year
and some parents are nuts - they think its okay to talk to there 6 year olds and use words like that.
my friend made the mistake of calling hte mother once from her cell without blocking it and the mother and the student still call her to say hi and to give her an update on his life. example: he fell the other day and had to get a staple in his head, or he wants to know what 100 plus 100 is.
LOL i am so naive when it comes to this stuff, although i do hear horror stories from all my friends who are teachers!!
i just cant believe parents are like that. I was a perfect student but whatever the teacher said was gospel PERIOD. Like if a teacher were to say I cheated, then I cheated and I would have been punished probably until somewhere around my wedding day - none of that 'not my baby' bs!!!
i know what you mean. I was actually talking about this with my friend the other day. We were saying that if my teacher ever had to call my parents because i was misbehaving, i might as well have found a new place to live. Acting like that was just not an option. Unfortunetly not all parents are involved like they should or should be able to have children.
Yes i agree..im a teacher too..and i have no idea what happened between when i went to school, and respected my teachers, and now.

my parents were the same way - i was telling FH's 10 year old niece that i wasnt allowed to sleep by FH's and she was like what do you mean NOT allowed?
and she couldnt understand that since i still lived at home, i still had rules that i had to follow - not many obviously but out of respect i couldnt sleep by FH's and that was that, there is no arguing ( doesnt mean that i dont come home at 6AM)
and she totally didnt understand the *fear* i felt when i talked about 'gettin in trouble'
i had 'the fear' also!!! My dad always used to tell me that he has eyes everywhere and someone would see me and rat me out. so of course i never did anything bad.
I got suspended one time in HS for cutting 9th period (I didnt even have a 9th period and was allowed to leave school) but my name was very similar to another girl in my school and they got us confused. My dad wouldnt believe me and wouldnt talk to me for a week, even after i straightened it out at school.

That is priceless! We were just talking this weekend about how innocent kids are.... Imagine if adults were like that? We'd be in trouble!!!!!!!!
