Definitely DARK.... what about using black dresses (their choice) and using the violets and purples for their flowers?

Go with an A-line gown, it's not clingy.I have a similar issue. In my community album under 'wedding ideas' there is a picture of the dress i am using. Sleeves can be added to the gown. And the sash breaks up the appearance of the dress a bit.

I would think a darker color. They are usually slimming for all body types!!

I would do a two piece and have them each choose a top. She can choose the top she most feels comfortable in and your other bms can still wear strapless or spaghetti straps if they like. I did not do separates but my girls wore Bill Levkoff Euro Lilac and it looked awesome, got many compliments on them...the color was in between dark and light.HTH

A- Line is very flattering.. Also, try the two piece mix and match approach.. Nothing is more flattering than feeling comfortable in what you are wearing.. She may like the idea of having different options.. HTH
agreed! dark colors along with the style mentioned above-- you should be good to go! and stay away from strapless- that's hard for heavier women to wear (especially with their chests)

Re: Kind of harsh but I could use some ideas
Although I agree with the dress types that everyone is suggesting - I sort of disagree with the MUST BE DARK color thing. Having once been 70 pounds heavier (and I'm also a little shy of being 5 feet tall)- I know from experience that I felt prettier when I liked what I was wearing regardless of color. If someone had asked me to wear a dark purple I would have thought - great I'll look like an oompa loompa or the grape ape or something.....but that's me....I'm not a dark purple kinda person. Just because she isn't perfect doesn't mean she must hide in dark colors. Believe me, when you get to a certain size you realize you aint hidin anything.why not just ask her for an opinion on bm dresses....she probably has a sense of what styles and colors look best on her.
