Kissing Bells
Anyone ever use these kissing bells? These are 1 1/4 inch high. My intention is to add a card with purple personalized ribbon. -- where can I get the ribbon and how much is it?If you have used them (been given them at a wedding) are they loud enough?
I saw tiny ones pre attached to cards but I just can't imagine they are loud enough to hear.
Thanks much.

Re: Kissing Bells
I am not sure how loud those are, but I had the ones with the cards already attached and they were not loud enough.

Re: Kissing Bells
Hey!!!I swear I am sitting here in front of my bells right now. I have yards of blue satin ribbon, 2 packs of jingle bells, and card stock. I am putting them together so the guests can ring them rather than throw something at us.
Blue Jingle-Bell Send-Off
Scissors
Blue card stock
Hole punch
Small jingle bells
Blue satin ribbon
1. Print notes reading “RING IN IRENE AND GARY'S WEDDING” on the blue card stock.
2. Cut out notes and whole punch.
3. String 6' of ribbon through 2 or 3 bells and whole in the card stock. Tie a knot at the base of the bells
5. Distribute to guests for tossing in lieu of rice.

Ooh jingle bells - that is a good idea - those will definitely be heard!
You can get the personalized ribbon at wrapwithus.com or go to their store in Syosset. I checked for you. It is 28 cents per ribbon.

Great. Where did you get jingle bells? and is it hard to put the ribbon through them?
You must post once you do them.

Re: Kissing Bells
For those that did (are doing) bells, what does the card read?I found this and think it's cute
May laughter and joy fill this room,
as we toast the
Bride and Groom.
Take these tiny Wedding Bells,
a sign of love to wish them well,
ring it loud so all may hear,
when the Bride and Groom are near.
But I want them for kissing - and don't know what the tag should say?
Thanks much

Re: Kissing Bells
This is one that I made. I got the ribbon at Franks before it closed and AC moore... they have it everywhere.. You might find it cheaper online. I used a hole cutter to hang the bell in so it would ring better. The hole cutter I used was a pain. I only made one so far and screwed up like 20... someone told me they make hole punchers in sizes big enough... I am going to look into it.ETA: they are definitly loud enough.. I think mine are the same size . I included the pic of my ribbon wand because you can see the size better.. It's the same bell with a different color
ETA agian.. I used that same poem but added something about kissing... Here it is...
May laughter and joy fill this room, as we toast the bride and groom, Take this tiny wedding bell, a sign of love to wish them well, If you would like them to sharre a wedded kiss, ring the bell for lifelong bliss.

Re: Kissing Bells
I was thinking of having them but knowing my guest they are going to tap their glasses with a fork, knife or whatever regardless of if the bells are there. Plus they may not be loud enough but they are really cute.

I saw some on ebay too - 1 1/4 inch right? They are like $20 for nearly 200.
I think jingle bells will work better.
