Did you tell the stylist to do just that style. You said you were going to go with pics of what you wanted. Maybe ask her if you can book another trial and have her try different styles on you. I bet, if left to her own creativity she would come up with something great.

Jess, you are gorgeous and to be honest you just don't seem happy w/ how it turned out, it shows in your face.

I'd love to see a half up/down style, maybe something like this?
