Pompei in West Hempstead.

I second Pompei...I don't know what their prices are these days, but my brother had his engagement party there almost 6 years ago...lots of good food, and the space was nice, too.

Pompeii I looked at. Very nice place. About the same price as Fox Hollow which seems kind of incongruant considering the difference in the ambiance of the two places. and all of their sat's are booked for next May already

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

Try Verdi's in Westbury. My friend had her mother's 60th birthday party and i think it she paid under $50 per person.

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

Does anyone have any feedback on Bettys Catering in Queens?

I am planning a visit on Sunday but wanted to know if I should be forewarned.

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

I have never been to Betty's but the surrounding neighborhood is not the nicest. I used to live around there and about 2 stores down is a supermarket, gas station, grocery store, etc. It's a very commerical area. I don't know if that bothers you, but I figure I'd mention it.

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

I would definitely check out Fox Hollow. I'm getting married there in Feb.'09 and I know that makes a big difference in price but i am paying $55pp and that's for a complete 5hr affair with anextensive menu. I think that is a great price for a wedding because as we all know as soon as you mention the word 'wedding' the prices go up. So since this is basically a party, although wedding anniversary, it should be a little cheaper. The place is beautiful and from what the other brides on the Fox Hollow thread say, the food is great also.

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

For my grandparents 40th wedding Anniversary we had it at the Irish Coffee Pup, not Nassau county but the food was amazing, and the place was very nice, and its in the price range.

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

Coral House was the cheapest quote I got. I don't remember exactly the number but I did remember that Sat or Sun afternoon after gratuity and taxes was around $65 per person

Re: Looking for catering hall/restaurant recommendations

Hello, I was just wondering what were you thought on Betty's catering? From the website it looks really nice. I am getting married in July , just newly engaged hence we are not going budget crazy. The guestlist is small somewhat around 60 people and just would like to have a nice simple reception where my FH's family and my family can mix and mingle. Any suggestions ?
