makeup trial
Hi ladies... I'm getting married in less than 3 weeks and do not have a makeup artist.
I went for a trial this weekend with a vendor from here but wasn't thrilled with how the foundation came out. She used airbrush on me and I thought it was so light that it hardly gave me any coverage. For the most part my skin is clear but I do have some blemish areas and the airbrush foundation did not cover those spots at all. I felt like my daily tinted sunscreen gave better coverage. I'm not sure if it was the airbrush or if it was the artist. And now most of the most recommended makeup artists on here are already booked.
The hair salon I'm using has a makeup artist there, the problem is I won't be able to get all the way out there again for a trial before the wedding. Should I just cross my fingers and hope she is good? Not sure what to do...
If anyone has any makeup artist recommendations that are FANTASTIC with covering blemishes, please let me know! Thank you!!!!!

I must say I have some pretty terrible acne (and quite a bit of scarring on my face) and Elena's airbrush covered it COMPLETELY... Even 10 hours later my face looked flawless! Pics are in my album if you want to see but I highly recommend her!

I used Sally Duvall, she did a great job.How are you at doing your own makeup? Do you have a friend that can help you out? I just bought the Christian Dior airspray-whatever foundation stuff, it gives great natural coverage. It cost $60 at Sephora. If you can find a friend that is skilled with eye makeup, maybe you should consider this alternative.
I also got my makeup done at the Red Door salon and spa for my epics and bpics. They did a seriously great job! I just used the random person that happened to be working that day.

Re: makeup trial
i had a trial with an artist on here, she was very good, but i felt the SAME way. i have some acne scars and they weren't covered that well.
so i went with Anita Nouryeh. i had a trial with her, the coverage was flawless (airbrished). i only went back to her for another 'eye mu' trial since i changed how i wanted my eyes done.
she works with Sally Duvall who is very highly respected in the field (but out of my price range).
check out my Anita album (but ignore the purple and crazy eyeliner, that was my fault!)
