Re: Mid to late October Brides....

hi all - we thought about this alot and decided to get some really nice capes with hoods in case it is raining or really cold - we figured we could use the capes for outdoor pictures and take it off for pics inside ifit was cold and the hoods will keep our hair in case of rain -
just a thought -
plus if you get a really nice cape it will look great in photos or so says my photographer - :)

Re: Mid to late October Brides....

I just changed my date to October. When we were first picking our date (which ended up being April 30 2005) all FH wanted was October and I was dead set against it because I've always thought October is just too chilly. He complained he was going to be in a hot tux and didn't want to chance an 80 degree day in September. After this past october which was for the most part beautiful and reasonably warm, I went with it.

Rain I'm not worried about b/c there's always a chance of rain no matter when you get married. As far as cold, we'll take as many pics outside as we can stand (if it's really that cold) and then we can take them inside the reception site. Plus I made sure we date was before daylight savings kicked in. The sun sets at 6:23pm on our day and our cocktail hour begins at 6:30 - perfect! It forces us to finish our pics on time and make it to our cocktail hour!

But I will be praying for 65 degrees right along with the rest of you!!

I'll second that..

But honestly.. Im good with anything from 60 & up.

There was a weekend recently when it was 55 and sunny and it was really nice to be outside.

I hate sweating like a pig so Im hoping for chilly weather. Hence I bought that shawl.
