Re: Money purse or envelope box...?
I got this box at my shower, but truthfuly people were handing us cards as we walked around saying hi-our maitre d kept taking them & putting them in the box for us. I wanted the box in a low key area-I guess it was too low-key! I would not carry a money bag-that's just me-plus some of the cards we got were like 10 inches high-I don't even think they'd fit!

Re: Money purse or envelope box...?
i have to agree with kris on this one....i LOVED all the cute box ideas, but i felt that they were a little too forward as far as seeming like we were asking for gifts, so we used a bag which i kept under my chair....but then again, i am overly paranoid about these things
just edited to clarify that as people said goodbye and we handed them their favors, i discretely would go over and place the cards in the bag..

Re: Money purse or envelope box...?
I am using the box that wacky posted. You can find it on LillianVernon.com. It's about $35I just don't feel comfortable carrying around the envelopes or making someone else sweat out that responsibility. And lets face it - people give gifts at weddings whether or not you are carrying a bag or you have a gift box. No one will think a bride is pushy because she has a place to hold the gifts. JMO

Have to agree with CutieLips. People will give you a card or a gift whether you have a box, bag or cage. I am having both. Haven't decided if we should have a cage or box yet. But def. a bag b/c I don't want to be walking around greeting everyone and having envelopes in our hands. My fear is the klutz that I am may hug someone and they all fall to the floor. That would be a pretty sight!
