My mom has found a lot of dresses she likes at Metamorphosis. I think its on 25A in the smithtown/st.james area.
LOVE this place, my mom found THE DRESS there, she didnt buy yet though! they are so nice there, but they dont do alterations

my mom got hers at alta moda in bellmorethey also make custom dresses

Check out Macy's bridal there is one in Manhasset and one in the SmithHaven Mall. I personally like the one in Manhasset better...I got my dress from there!!!!

My mom was put off b/c she is a size 8 or 10 & most of the samples were 14 or more--hard to get a good feel for what the dress looks like. Also she said she wouldn't order the color unless she could try on the dress in that color.I think we'll probably end up at Lord & Taylor or Macy's or such.

Thats ok, alterations can always be done elsewhere..I know she has been there a few times and has had really great experiences.
She also saw a dress that she loved at a store in Woodbury Commons... I can't remember the name (Miaka?) of it but it was $$$$

YES, I bought my prom gown at mieka (SP???) She isnt a fan of someone of the salespeople there, metam.... has nicer people...but both have great gowns!Welcome New Vendors
