Must everything match?
I have been coming across different things that I like and want for the wedding. Things like the cake top and guestbook. The thing is that I pick what I like and not what is meant to go together.
My sister is telling me that I have to have some sort of theme that makes it all go together. Do I? I think that my theme should be "if I like it, it's in." Is that tacky?
Must everything match?
Tatiana,
For items like the cake top, guest book, etc... sometimes people will go with a theme (ex. cherubs) but it is definetely not necessary. Many of these items are not even near eachother at the wedding and guests will not notice if they don't "match" or fall into the same theme.
Ultimately, you should choose items that you like and will enjoy having as part of your wedding!
Must everything match?
Hi Tatiana. I think if you like it go for it. I am defintely not matching anything. If I like it it is in. Like Stephanie said things like a cake top and guest book are going to be so far apart no one will notice if they match. Good Luck and happy planning.
As far as how many to get you can put several at each table if you are presenting them in frames or in menu holders. Another way to do it that is nice as well is to have them inserted into the flap of a folded napkin and lay them on top of the plate at each place setting. In this case you would need one per person.
