I was a July bride. I joined this site late but am so glad that I did. I got many great ideas for my wedding that I wouldnt have gotten if I didnt join. Many of the things that I had at my wedding whether it was a vendor or 'extra' people still talk about almost 2 years later!

I had a blast at TWOTY and the 08 Bridal Shower. I also got to meet many great girls and it was nice to be able to go somewhere to ask a question or vent about a wedding related issue. Thank you Ron and Liz for creating this great site. This site gave me many great memories and was a part of wedding planning and my life that I will always cherish.

I was a June, of 08 bride, I found this site by accident, the best accident I ever had, this site brought a little bit of New York to a small Pa. town. I had the best wedding thanks to you girls. I was a July 4th 2008 bride! I came on here looking for help with planning the perfect wedding. Instead I found a place with a bunch of incredible beautiful women. I was able to ask you about what color flowers went with my dress to asking you about what to make for dinner. I am so happy I stumbled upon this website. I thank ron and liz for making this site. It has helped me in so many ways. I am glad i got to get to chat with so many of you and call you my girls. I will always remember the laughs,and the Drama lmao... What an incredible year the 2008 brides were. I think we will go down as the chattiest bunch of all with the most posts. I will be so sad to see our board close. I hope to see many of you over on lifamiles. I have the same name. We are expecting our daughter to be born in february. Thank you for all your help ans sharing such a special time in your lives. I was a June 2008 bride and, thanks to this website, my wedding was beyond perfect. I married my best friend of 10 years and it was the best day of my life.

I can't believe our board is closing. I have so many wonderful memories from this board and it's sad to see the end.

I am so grateful because I have met some wonderful girls on this site. It was really nice to have people who understand what you are going through when planning a wedding and being there to support each other and to share in each others excitement over little things.

I wish all of my fellow 08 brides a lifetime of happiness in their marriages.

i was a 2008 may bride...i posted on here several times each day, i was obsessed! i loved talking with you girls and getting some awesome ideas for my wedding; my wedding was better because of you and LIW. unfortunately i stopped posting not long after my wedding b/c of an issue with a vendor which left me a little sour, but i still stalked the 08 board and watched for photos and reviews of all the weddings after mine. we were seriously a beautiful group of brides, every one of us!! thanks for the memories, i had so much fun sharing the wedding obsession w you ladies. i wish you all health and SO MUCH happiness for the rest of your lives.

oh and my updates...we bought a house in september and every day we say we can't believe we found the perfect place for us, we are so happy. on a sad note, we found out the week we moved in that my godson has brain cancer...but after a few months of surgeries, radiation, and chemo treatments, his latest MRI already shows that the tumor is nearly gone. i feel like our prayers have been answered...it seems like the worst time in our lives will be over soon and my adorable little godson can go back to being a regular 2 year old and live a long, happy life. to those of you who said prayers for us/him over on the LIF boards, a million thank you's. i've never believed in the power of prayer the way i do now...it meant so very much to me.

so good-bye LIW, hope to see you ladies over in LIF when i pop in now and again...which i'm sure will be more often later this year if all goes to plan...

Hello! I was a May 2008 bride. The help I received from this site helped me make some very important wedding decisons. The laughs I've had on here will always be a big part of my memories of being engaged. So much has been said in the previous posts that pretty much say it all.

Haven't beeen on here in a looong time!! Miss you all!!

Back in 2007 when I started planning my wedding I stumbled upon this site. Whenever I googled wedding related things liweddings.com would pop up and I would ignore it...but finally one day I clicked on the site and was hooked!!! I would be on till 2am everynight.

My wedding wouldn't have been perfect if it weren't for you girls. You all had such creative ideas and I took advantage of that! From pocket fold invites to card boxes, things I wouldn't even known to do.

This board was full of laughs and drama as well as some sad stories. Well I guess this is it....

GOODBYE 2008 BOARD!!! YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!

Wow the two years went fast. I want to thank you ladies for everything! I was supposedly the 'calm bride' but inside I was in knots!

I was a March 2008 bride, I want to thank EVERYONE (including Ron, Liz and the LIW staff) for everything. I had alot of laughs and also got alot of ideas from this site and hope that all brides take advantage of this great resource!

My only regret is not keeping up with this site after the wedding as much as I would like to. DH and I are doing great - we are holding off starting a family until probably next year (2011) so that we can be a bit more financially stable than we are now. We're also looking into moving probably to Nassau County and we're looking right now.


I'm going to try and get more on LIF (under the same name) and I also plan on popping in here from time to time to see what's going on here and to help other brides as much as I can.
