My bachelorette party's tomorrow night and I'm feeling sick!

My throat started hurting a little yesterday and today I just feel worse.

I thought I'd maybe feel not so great AFTER the b-party but this is ridiculous! Must be this nasty weather. Or stress. Or not sleeping. I don't know. But I don't wanna be sick!!! Not now, with the b-party tomorrow and the wedding 2 weeks away!!!

edited to say: I think I may try to go home after work. I have some meetings this AM but after that maybe I can just go home and try to sleep before MOH gets into town...

Hang in there Alison! Get some rest, gargle with salt & water, eat some pineapple. (That's what I'm doing and I'm feeling a little better).

I hope you feel better. I too am getting a little under the weather. I dont know if it's the weather (hot one day then cold the next) or if it's just the stress but I have had a cough for the past 3 days and I am drinking hot fluids, taking cough medicine anything to make it go away. I hate coughs because when i get them they seem to linger on! I had one a couple of months ago that lingered for 1 week and a half. It's annoying. This morning I woke up conjested but now i'm not anymore i guess it was just this morning when i got up. This stinks though. We dont need this Alison...makes me mad, but lets keep our fingers crossed.

If it is a cold, go to the drugstore and get some Zicam - it helps the symptoms go away faster! And get some rest and OJ.

Thanks, ladies! I did buy some COLDEZE and am taking that, drinking tea, etc. And I think I'll try to go home after lunch and take a nap. Hopefully the party won't completely destroy me!! I need to stay healthy for the next 2 weeks!!!

AlisonMT - I just got over strep throat and now my secretary is out with it. I too was run down and not sleeping right before I got it. Go home and get plenty of rest. Pop a few vitamin C's or zinc or echinacea. Should get you through the night and get plenty of rest over the weekend. Gargling really helps too. Feel better.

Stress will definately get the best of you, try to relax and get some rest - take nyquil and sleep, sleep, sleep - it works for me. I hope you feel better soon!
