I'm so sorry to hear your father isn't doing well. I've been there and your pain, while unique, is so familiar in some ways.... I hope he spends the rest of his time with you as peacefully and pain free as possible.

It must be so hard for you, to be so happy and so sad at the same time... Rejoicing one new beginning in your life (mommyhood

) and reminiscing the wonderful memories with your father... Im getting tears in my eyes as I type this... When you wrote 'his figlia mia's figlia mia' it choked me up completely...
My father is like that with us too.. he always touches my faces and says 'bambina mia'
There are no words that are going to make you feel better, but just know that we are all here for you.
Youre such a strong mommy, daughter, and wife.
It's amazing how God gives us one thing and takes another away...
Im sending lots of hugs and prayers to your dad...
Know that he will always be with you and your family, in your hearts.

God Bless your precious Gianna. She has a smile that can light up a room, and I guarantee it, there will be ways she has (even if its a smile or a habit) that will remind you of your dad in years to come. I found that when something like this happened to my family (grandma passed away, and a special baby came into our lives...)

Deb - thinking of you and your family. Your father is lucky to have such a wonderfully devoted and loving daughter. He must be so proud of you and the parent you have become. What a legacy he will leave. Gianna is a precious gift, the reflection of your dad's love for you. Enjoy every second of her amazing life - I am sure that is what your dad would hope for.

Wow, that is bittersweet. I'm really sorry about your Dad, I can imagine that you're so busy with your little girl that you get caught up with being happy and then all of a sudden it hits you that your Dad is at the end of his life.

Secondly hugs to you.

I do not know you personally , but your posts always make me smile. I know that during the holidays you were very busy between spending time with your dad and with the cub. I am sure that has continued. But yet you continue to have a sense of humor and make people smile, me included.

There are no words that can take the pain out of this experience, but I know that the cub will be reminded of her grandpa always through the love that she gets from her mama.

Please know that you have been and will continue to be in my prayers. And know that there are always people on this board that are willing to listen

My dear friend ... I am so sorry about your dad. I know what you have been going through the last couple of months and I only wished he got better instead of worse. If he does pass, at least you will know he is not suffering anymore and even though he may not physically be with you, he will be with you always ... watching his beautiful daughter taking care of her beautiful daughter.

I'm here for whenever you need me!!!
