Thank god you saved your ring!
That's a terrible way to start your day. What ever you do do not bring your ring back in that bathroom unless it's on your finger. That was too close and you definitely don't want that to ever happen again.

Good save! I too do not sleep with my ring on... So I leave it in the same box FH proposed with on my night stand and I place it in there every night and that is the last thing I put on before I leave the house. It has become such a standard routine that I have never forgotten to wear it once!

I don't sleep with my ring on either and I had a scare like that so now I don't put on my ring until I am about to leave the house cuz I don't want another heart attack

OMG, that must've been so scary!!! I NEVER take it off and leave it on the sink in the bathroom or the kitchen, even with a plug. I only take it off to shower and then it goes in its box on my nightstand. I'm really glad you saved it tho, good for you!!!

Thank god you saved it...I think it's time to go to Home Depot and buy a drain stopper so that it will never happen again lol

Oh my lord...I don't know what I would've done. I do know me though....I would have to have it NOW. I could see a hammer in hand and me breaking the pipes until I freed it. Thank God you caught it!

I never post but I just feel the need to share this with you ladies. I had a similar experience, not with my engagement ring but with my grandmothers diamond earring. It actually fell in the sink, bounced around.... I couldn't catch it and down the drain it went. My advice is - do not panic if this happens to you. As long as the water is not running, the pipes are shaped so that it may settle underneath your sink before being lost forever. You can take off the pipe and there is a chance that it will just be at the bottom of the pipe. I had a heart attack (the earrings are very sentimental) and i took the pipes off with my bare hands. Thank god i was able to get it back. The key is to stay calm and do not put on the water!!! Or better yet - never put valuable jewelry anywhere near the bathroom or kitchen sink!

I am so glad you did not lose your ring...I had the same sink with no drain and I was able to catch it too before it went into the abyss. Now I know Lulu I know what to do and only hope I do not panic, Thanks LuLu
