Im so sorry. I had to put my beloved cat if 12 years to sleep last summer - I knew it was for the best too but I cried for days.

This is probably going to sound childish but I saw a children's book about dealing with a pet's death and the parent has the child write 10 good things about the pet. I did that with my cat and it helped a little.
