FH and i both felt that way, But we both wanted it. There were so many times along this 'journey' that we were like 'what the he!l are we doing this for'.... and seriously, FH turned around today (and actually said it in front of the mgr at the Westbury manor) (he usually doesnt talk in front of other people) and said 'up until just the other day, i really thought that we were just planning a big party... but all of a sudden, i see how important this day is'


men are just 'logical' when it comes to money. FH is very sensitive, but w/ him it still comes down to the dollars... But trust me... when that day comes, he wont have any regrets... its hard to see the forest from the trees

Thank you girls soo much for your thoughts. We talked things out and he said he was sorry (after much stomping around from me!!!). He said as long as the wedding is what I really want then it isn't a waste of money.

Sometimes I feel frustrated and start thinking like that...but then I think of the meaning of the whole day...family, committment, love, sharing...and to quote the commercial...'priceless!'

i heard that from mine too but just ignored him. there's things that he spends $ on that i think is a complete waste of time too - he shut up

oh i'm sorry, that's a difficult thing to hear about your wedding:( It's a crazy amount of money for everyone, us women included...but when you think about what the expense is for - to celebrate your union with all of your loved ones - it deserves the attention, expense, detail, etc. You have one wedding in your whole lifetime - so go all out (or as much as you can) and enjoy it! Guys may never understand but don't let his comment get you down. It will be fabulous and worth every penny!!

Getting married is a big deal that's why in a lot of societies there is a lot of emphasis put on the big day..whether it be in the US or another country. Marriage should not be just a piece of paper that says you're married, it's a committment for the rest of your lives...it deserves attention whether it's an elaborate party or a trip somewhere or getting in front of a Justice of the Peace.
