Re: My proofs from Imagine...fixed..added link
yes I made them...here are the directions..MS chair template:
I made a table in Word with everything the right size for the place cards. The thick columns are the actual place card, while the skinny column tells you where to score so you can fold the card. (Use a bone folder to score-found at craft stores looks like a popsicle stick with a dull pointed end.) I would suggest scoring first, then cutting out the thick rectangles on the line that way you know where to score. I hope that makes sense once you open the file.
I used a mini paper cutter (photo cutter) to do all of my cutting. You can also use a roller cutter (looks like a pizza cutter). I think both are available at Michael's...I would highly recommend getting one.
I used 67# paper to make mine and it held up fine. Other weights that will work are 80# and 110#. Regular paper won't because it is too flimsy.
My colors are navy blue, butter yellow and baby blue. I'm making the placecards baby blue (for boys) and butter yellow (for girls) with a small navy ribbon tied around the back (where it meets the seat).
General DIRECTIONS for placecards:
1) To form each paper chair, you will need one 11-by-1.75 inch strip of card stock; you can fit four
on an 8 1/2-by-11-inch sheet. Use a bone folder to score each strip into four sections: a top one that's 4' long, then three equal 2' sections.
2) Fold the longest strip at the top score line away from you; this makes the back legs and back of chair.
3) Then fold the next short piece at the score line toward you. This finishes forming the chair back and also begins the seat.
4) Fold the last short strip down at the front of the seat to make the front legs. Use a glue stick or
double-sided tape to secure the two layers of the chair back together. Set right-side up, and trim, if necessary.
I copied this from someone on the
weddingchannel.com...if you do a search there, you can probably find the template..
