at the shower i threw for my aunt this past march, one of her fsil did the wine basket and did the poem with each bottle for an occasion, the other fsil did the candle basket that also has a poem, very symbolic, i will look for it for you~brb...

How about the Laundry Basket Poem? Here's how it goes. All words in bold you put those items in the laundry basket and when you read the poem out loud you hold up each item as you get to it. This is one of my favorite presents.

We gather together with you to celebrate the dawn of a new era. Marriage is a journey. Some days it will be pure joy but let's take a moment and talk about the others.

There may come a time when you realize your big brawny guy isn't necessarily Mr. Clean. When this and other little glitches occur, don't shout or send up an SOS. Go easy-on

A basket of candles tha come in a pair
In all different colors, for you two to share
The white ones burn first
They are wrapped in white lace
To celebrate your first married night
In your new chosen place.
The green pair is taller, and also much thinner
Burn with the first company you have over for dinner
The dark blue candles are for after your first fight
Use them to burn while making up all night
Pink candles set the mood and pave the way

I dont know if there will be time for this, but I had to add it....

A friend of ours (thanks trey) got us this for our engagement party. It was one of my most absolute favorite gift hands down. I cannot wait until we have our own place and we put our wedding picture in it. She got us the black with white writing and it's gorgeous!!!!

I usually give a holiday basket/box with everything from New years to christmas and all the holidays in between.....always a big hit.....

for friends I am close with I will put a bunch of stuff together with the following sayings...

Here's a little something to help you stick together-attach to scotch/duct/masking tape

Here's a little something to help with your mistakes...attach to an eraser

Here's a little something to help with get the honeymoon started...attach to box of condoms

Here's a little something to help you remember what happened on the honeymoon/wedding night....attach to a pregnancy test

Here's a little something to help put the spark back into things.....attach to a box of matches

Here;s a little, well here's something for when things get comfortable.....I attach to a really cheap OVERSZED pair of undies from walmart etc


There are so many things you can add, change substitute for this......again always a big hit
